For the classic English breakfast, first boil water, season with salt and pour in oatmeal in a rain-like manner (not all at once) with a whisk in hand.
Stir with a wooden spoon and leave to infuse at a low temperature for 20 minutes.
Put the porridge in a plate or bowl and bring to the table with cold whipped cream or milk, moreover with honey or sugar if you like.
