Instructions:

For the peach pie, preheat the oven to 200°C degrees. Grease a square springform pan (approx. 18 cm). Drain the peaches well and pat dry with kitchen roll.

Then cut the peach halves once. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl, add the butter and knead with your fingers. Then add sugar, egg and milk and mix to a dough.

Pour the dough into the mold and smooth the surface. Then spread the peaches on top. Brush the peaches with the melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake the cake in the oven for about 50 minutes and then let it cool for 5 minutes. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with enough water to make a thick mixture and drizzle evenly over the peach pie.

Preparation Tip:

Instead of the peaches you can use for the peach pie, for example, pickled pears.
