For the poppy seed rolls, bring the milk and sugar to the boil. Add the poppy seeds and cook over low heat for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Then let everything cool completely, only then stir in the rum.

Cut the puff pastry on a floured work surface into squares about 7×7 cm. Place the filling on top, roll up and brush with egg.

Bake the poppy seed rolls at 200° C for about 20 minutes.
