Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time and stir in the sifted flour, baking powder and milk. It should be a slightly firm dough without lumps.
For the topping, peel and core the apples and cut them into rough pieces. Mix with sugar, cinnamon, raisins and rum in a bowl.
Grease a baking pan and sprinkle lightly with sugar. Pour in the dough, cover with the apples and bake in a preheated oven at 170 °C for about 40 to 50 minutes.
Heat the jam with the water and brush the apple pie with it after baking.

You can also perfectly prepare this recipe in small cake pans. The raisins can also be omitted according to taste.
