Instructions:

For the broccoli and cauliflower casserole, wash broccoli and cauliflower and split into roses. Pre-cook cauliflower in boiling hot salted water for about 5 min. Add broccoli after 2 min.

Strain the vegetables, let them drain and put them into a greased gratin dish.

Mix eggs and milk and season with salt, nutmeg and pepper. Pour over the vegetables.

Fill the grease pan of the oven with water and put the gratin dish in it. Bake the casserole in the heated oven (electric oven 200o/gas mark 3) for about 45 minutes.

In the meantime, peel the garlic and onion. Press the garlic and finely dice the onion.

Heat the fat in a saucepan. Sauté garlic and onion in it.

Rinse tomatoes, remove stalk and seeds, dice and add.

Sauté at low temperature for about 5 minutes. Season with lemon pepper and salt.

Remove the broccoli-cauliflower casserole from the oven, cut into portions and serve with the tomato sauce.
