For the cranberry-pear jam, wash the cranberries, drain well and bring to the boil once. Strain through the liquid soap.
Cut the pears into small pieces, puree with a blender and add to the cranberry puree with the jelling sugar and citric acid.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in red wine, bring to a boil again and pour into clean jars.
Seal tightly immediately.
Preparation Tip:
The cranberry-pear jam tastes very good even prepared without red wine. Instead, try grape juice or something else.
