For the strawberry chips, first preheat the oven to 130 °C top/bottom heat. Cover 1-2 baking trays with baking paper.

Wash the strawberries, dry them and remove the green. Cut lengthwise into 2-3 mm thick slices with a slicer or a sharp kitchen knife and place on the baking tray. Sprinkle the strawberries with very little powdered sugar.

Place in the oven for at least 1 1/2 hours. The oven door should remain open a crack (insert a cooking spoon). Alternatively, you can open the door often in between to let the steam escape. Keep an eye on the strawberry chips. They should become dark and crispy, but not burnt.

Preparation Tip:

The strawberry chips turn out even better if you place a baking mat on the baking sheet instead of baking paper.
