Prepare a dough for the Buchteln from flour, margarine, yeast, eggs, salt, sugar and lukewarm milk (food processor with dough hook).

Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place. Roll out on floured work surface (about half to 1 cm thick).

Cut out the cookies or cut out round shapes with a glass. Fill with desired mixture, press shut and place in a greased baking pan with the “seam” facing down.

Let rise for another half hour. Brush with melted butter and bake the Buchteln in the oven at 180 degrees convection oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

Preparation Tip:

Buchteln taste great with vanilla sauce. You can also freeze them ready.
