Prepare the beans ready for cooking and break them once. Cut the potatoes into cubes and quarter the onions. In hot olive oil, sauté the onion until translucent. Add the potatoes and fry lightly. Add the beans, douse with the soup and steam with the lid closed for about 40 minutes.

Cut the ham into cubes and add for the last 10 min of stewing. Season with salt, pepper and the plucked savory.
