For the bacon and cheese dumplings, finely chop the onion and cut half of the bacon into cubes. Fry half of the onion and the bacon in a little oil.

Add sauerkraut and caraway seeds, pour some soup and stew the sauerkraut until soft. Soak the dumpling bread with lukewarm milk, eggs and chopped parsley.

Cut the other half of the bacon into small cubes. Fry in a pan until crispy. Cut the cheese into small cubes. Add to the dumpling mixture together with the remaining onion and bacon and bind with flour.
